I had my 1st baby in march 2011, 6 weeks after having him i had my period, they continued like that for a while then after a couple of periods i went on the pill to make them regular and not get pregnant again!! after a couple of months on the pill i decide to stop taking it cause there would be days when i would almost forget to take it and cause i didn't want to get pregnant i though about getting the rod fitted... so i stopped taking it and had a period, then waited for my next one to go to family planning cause they will only give you contraception when your on your period so they know you not pregnant or you have to mess about doing pregnancy tests when your there. so anyways my period was 6 weeks after(i didn't end up going to family planning cause i changed my mind about having the rod fitted, lol) but my periods have gone back to been every 6-7 weeks my baby is almost 1and i thought they would have been back to normal by now.. my periods were every 28days exactly before. because i'm not any contraception it makes me worry about being pregnant with my periods being like this cause i'm used to them being every 4 weeks like before although i am being careful there's still that doubt there. i just want them to be back to normal!
i'm mainly wondering will they say like this? and will it cause problems if i want another baby in the future? thanks in advance!!![]()
You may be anaemic which may affect your periods. If you are still breastfeeding that will affect them because of ovulation being affected by it. But it is not a reliable form of contraception - there are other types of contraception such as patches, rings, condoms, coils etc. It's hard work if you have another baby when the older one is under 2.
