And I kiss her. When I asked her if she had gum disease she said yes. We haven't spoken much about because her English isn't so good.
Do any STDs have inflamed bleeding gums as a symptom? I ask because HIV is my worst nightmare
She's got gum disease - probably through not properly brushing and rinsing out her mouth. (it doesn't mean she isn't brushing her teeth, she's just not doing it properly)
Where do you want to start with this one?
What bothers you about her past that your immediate reaction is to worry about HIV?
Okay firstly persuade her to see a dentist and start to get this sorted. The dentist will be able to help in some way with the actual condition and there is a real link between gum disease and heart disease and it is unusual that at this present time it is so acute.
Then as an act of faith it is perhaps best if you both go to the relevant clinic and have some base line tests done. You need to put your mind to rest on this one as you have some concerns. If she declines then your brain should tell you to walk away.
