I was diagnosed with HSV-1 of the genitals and within the last 8 months I have had 2 yeast infections and 2 bacterial infections. Could this be from my body fighting the herpes virus in my body or could it be caused by something else? I have vaginal itching but no discharge or odor. I'm thinking it could be another bacterial infection. Will I have to be treated for frequent yeast infections and bacterial infections the rest of my life because of the herpes or could it just be an embalance in my system or my lowered immune system because my body is fighting the herpes virus? If anyone know please help! Thanks!
vaginal itching is a symptom of Herpes - you don't have to have a yeast infection or bacterial infection to experience itching from Herpes.
