I have acute bronchitis can it turn into pneumonia?

I went to the doctor on Saturday and was diagnosed with acute bronchitis. I was given ERY-TAB EC an antibiotic and an albutarol inhaler.
SInce I have developed more symptoms which include:
A feeling of dizziness off and on
    A sore throat
    Itchy throat
Aching pain in my chest and back
    A low grade fever
And a feeling of tightness when I breath
It hurts worse to breath deeply
I have a follow up with my doctor tomorrow however I am just curious if anyone has had similar experience. Was it pneumonia or something else?

Yes it could turn into pneumonia. It could also be another virus, possible reaction to the antibiotics.
Possible need for more antibiotics and the list goes on...
    Take care

General symptoms are common in most pneumonia cases, and they usually develop quickly after infection. Some general symptoms include chills and shaking followed by an acute fever. Because the bacteria invade lung tissue, the patient will feel pain in the infected lung. If both lungs are involved, the entire chest will feel tight and painful. There also may be shortness of breath and a rough, dry cough that eventually produces sputum.
