I was crying last night and now my eyes are swollen. How do I get rid of it?!?

I'm not sure but I think because tear drops are salty I guess my eyes absorbed the salt and now their swollen. The bags under my eyes are big... What do I do to get rid of it?

Make some strong black tea, soak a rag in it (make sure it's hot) and set it on your face like a hot towel treatment.

    It works for burns too.

This is what my grandma did for me after my mom died and i cried like that.. ok so you need a shower curtin, ice cream scooper, 3 screw drivers and some visine.
take the shower curtin and restrain yourself with it, jabbing it into the ground with the screw drivers, now that ur restrained the visin should b out of reach, so use the ice cream scooper to pull it into reach, now that you have the visin put it into your eyes, it will help.

It's not uncommon for eyes to be swollen after a lot of crying - and there's nothing wrong with it - it's a physiological response to the release of the tears (the tear ducts and surrounding tissues get puffed up due to the heavy workload). While there are some remedies that might help relieve the symptoms - using a tea-bag (black tea) might help restore the swelling due to the tannic acid in the tea, or slices of cucumber - due to the ascorbic acid in the vegetable. Or, you can rest - try not to cry anymore - and, if you have to go out, wear sunglasses.

P.S. Tannic acid, as was suggested by another commenter, is NOT appropriate for burns - it is an ACID. Burns should be rinsed in COLD WATER, and treated with Neosporin (1st and 2nd degree only) - if there is blistering go to the hospital IMMEDIATELY.
