    for contacts is the higher the power better or worse.?

    i have two different contacts 2.75 and 3.00 i have one bad eye and one good eye which one goes in which??
    it is -3.00 and -2.75

    The higher the number the worse your view in that eye is. Therefore your worse eye should have the higher strength in this case the 3.00. The higher power is for the worse eye and the lower for the better eye!

    The difference between the two numbers isn't very much, so your "bad eye" isn't that much worse than your "good eye."

    But the previous answerer is correct: The higher the number (the further away from zero), the worse your visual acuity.

    actually...it depends on whether we're talking minus or plus

    ok yes -3.00 is 1 increment "worse" than -2.75
