Hopefully the question did not alarm you too much, but I'm becoming a little worried as I tend to look at some objects and it's as if my mind plays tricks on me and I tend to imagine a scary clown... lol is this something for me to be concerned about in your opinion?
@Shannon: actually I have hardly watched any horror movies throughout my life :/
@Munkee2: Well then i change my question: How would those with a decent amount of medical knowledge diagnosis one who sees scary faces inanimate objects?
id keep a note of what you see but honestly i think your watching to many horror movies but bring this ussue up with on of your friends or family because it may be something moreXx
You don't. Only psychiatrists can diagnose.
EDIT: They use diagnostic procedures from the ICD 10 and DSM IV. I think the word you're looking for is 'diagnose'.
its just anxiety my friend. our own mind is a complete trickster when it comes to this sort of thing. think about the wizard of OZ and how the scary image on the screen turns out to be a little old man behind a curtain everyone was scared of him apart from toto the dog who didn't know he needed to be scared. might help you to take the piss out of your minds current journeys into scary imagery, `really is that the best you've got you low budget horror movie maker oh i'm sooo scared'
Try not to worry about it it means nothing.
I'd say you're just anxious and have a general fear of things and since they are always on your mind you are seeing them in things. I don't think it means you are mental. Sounds like you are just struggling with dealing with things that frighten you.
