I injured my ankle about 5-6 weeks ago. I rolled on the outer side pretty hard. I was immobilized for about a minute, but then got up and went on my day as normal. The next morning my ankle was swollen and painful when I put weight on it. I didn't see my dr, and while I tried to "r.i.c.e" I had to return to work on my feet about 2-3 days after injury.

I gave my ankle avout a 2 week break (with short walks.) After the 2 weeks, I exercised moderately and my ankle was feeling a lot better.

My ankle is quite sore the past week or so. It could be a few things that triggered this: I made a bad call and wore a slight heel on Sat, have returned to a bootcamp-y type workout video, and went for a run.

What should I do to heal? Do I need to cut out all exercise? Should I, if I'm not too late, see a Dr.? I'm prettt concerned with causing a long term injury, but would like to avoid the cost of a Pt if possible.

Thank you in advance for you advice!
