I broke my lower left leg (right above the ankle) playing soccer exactly a month ago. I had to wait 2 weeks before I could have the surgery, and just yesterday (2 weeks after surgery) I went to get my cast removed. My question is regarding the nerves on my left foot and the nerves behind my knee, and also about the staples on the incisions on my knee and my lower leg. They had to put a plate from my knee all the way down to my ankle on the shinbone and some screws to hold it there... I'm able to move my toes but very limitted movement. Is it good to push (bend) my toes up and down to stretch the nerves? Or should I just leave it alone does it just come back with time?.. and I can bend my knee but not passed a 90 degree angle, also should I push it or give it time?.. and about the staples, I was wondering when do I go to get them removed?? Its only been 2 weeks since I had surgery and I have a air cast to slowly start trying to walk, it feels good but I'm worried about my nerves and the staples. Also any muscle therapy exercise anyone would recommend?? I'm very greatful to have any input on this, thank you!!!
