I had an ACL reconstruction using my patellar tendon Feb 2011 (a year ago). I have some sharp pain that is painful to the touch right on my patella. It is localized on the lower right side of the apex (bottom) near where they took the bit of bone for the graft. It feels like it could be sort of sharp. There is some pain on the upper portion of the patellar tendon (but not much) and no pain where it inserts into the tibial tuberosity. This pain does worsen when I am working out or playing sports. It seems like it could be patella tendonitis but that seems like it is lower. I am planning on seeing my Dr but I wanted to get some input on here first as well.
