Looks similar to a silver fish. It's brown, it bites and the bite itches like crazy! The bite looks like a spider bite!

Maybe it was a centipede; they can be poisonous.

If you are certain this critter bit you, this is likely a house centipede. they are not prone to bite,but can if they are trapped against the skin. The bites are harmless,and heal quickly.(they actually sting with a pair of venomous legs)
You can use a topical analgesic with menthol(mentholatum) to help relieve the itch.(sunburn spray works also) No other treatment would be necessary.

These are actually harmless,and like spiders,are beneficial in homes as the prey on infestive insects.
They are rather fast an may startle people.
