Don't worry about it. My average resting heart rate has been 130-145 for several months now (I'm ill and take several medications) and my doctors are waiting to do anything about it. It's like that all day, every day, and has been for MONTHS, and the stress on my heart isn't concerning them yet and they don't plan to do anything about it until I'm weened off at least half my meds.

That being said, if it keeps happening, and you spot a pattern, it's something to bring up to your doc the next time you see them. It could be a symptom that means something if you combine it with other symptoms you have, but elevated heart rate for no apparent reason isn't a risk on it's own and it's not a sign of stroke or heart attack (thank heaven!) so it's nothing to panic about. Definitely mention it to your doc the next time you're in or if it comes back and doesn't go away, though.
