Thread: Scoliosis question plz help!!?

I have a 40 degree curve and surgery was suggested for me.. I'm so nervous I understand that ucant bend down after the surgery? And does this surgery prevent you from doing anything done on an everyday basis? I'm a swimmer.. I was wondering how long It would be until I could swim or even just go to the movies with frends!
And I heard that thr is a 50 50 chance of getting paralyzed!!!?? Is this true?
I feel like No one understands what I'm going through my mom thinks the recovery will be 2 weeks..! I dont know what she has been reading
any info u can give me!! Plz help!
