Here's my stats: I'm 24 and I'm looking to lose about 50-60lbs. Right now I'm having lots of back issues and depression/anxiety issues as well. I have the hardest time relaxing. I know it sounds like I could really use some yoga but I am much more familiar with pilates and its a lot easier for me because I tend to be pretty methodical in thinking so 5 reps and 10 sets makes a lot more since to me than transitioning from this pose to that pose while remembering to breathe and not ruin your posture. (btw I know that posture is important in any kind of exercise so i'm not trying to avoid that!) My primary goal is weight loss. My secondary goal is strengthening my lower back and relieving the problems I have there. Also, I am looking for something I can do at home if possible. So what would you guys suggest?
Do both. Use yoga as a cool down method.
