Macmillan nurse final weeks of life cancer symptoms?

Hi there, basically i don't know the ins and outs of it but a dear friend of my mums is dying from cancer. he's an elderly man and wants to go on a hospice. The hospice said they will take people on their last 2 weeks and the macmillan nurses say they know by certain symptoms they are on their last two weeks. What are these symptoms?
In response to the first response i got told that it is Advanced Liver lung and kidney cancer.

This is very difficult to answer without knowing the type of cancer as symptoms varies according to the Cancer.
At least the friend of your mother will be in very good hands during the last weeks of his life.

That should be assessed by his dr. That's pretty sad that they only take care of you in your last 2 weeks. A friend of mine had hospice nurses at his house for over a month.
